Admission Process

  • Online Applications for M.A. DS, M.A. SE, M.S.W (D&E) and M.Sc FC are open for the academic year 2023 – 2024

  • Application & Admission Guidelines – 2023 
  • Objective-type online entrance test for 50 marks to be completed within a specified date and time.
  • The test pattern will vary from program to program the details of which are shared in the Prospectus.
  • Applicants will be shortlisted for personal interview / Group Discussion based on the entrance test and UG percentage of marks obtained up to 5th/7th Semester.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be asked to appear for an interview on a specified date and time. The interview will be held on campus at MSSW, Chennai
  • Admission will be based on total marks obtained in UG, Entrance Test, and Interview/GD.
  • For Self-financed programs, fifty percent of seats will be filled by merit and the remaining 50 % by merit within the community quota as per State Government norms.
  • For the Aided program, 90 % of seats will be filled by merit within the community quota as per State Government norms.
  • There is no quota for NRI.

Online Applications

  • Online Applications for M.A. DS, M.A. SE, M.S.W (D&E) and M.Sc FC are open for the academic year 2023 – 2024
  • Read the prospectus and guidelines thoroughly before registering and applying for any program.
  • Certificates are not mandatory to submit the application form.
  • Candidates can upload their certificates anytime in their login by clicking on the “Update Certificate” Button.
  • Candidates can edit their application form by clicking the “Edit Application Form” button available in their login.
  • The application form cannot be edited after the closing date. Refer to the schedule for important dates.
  • Candidates are advised to visit the college website and check their portal frequently to get updates.
  • No Personalised SMS or E-mail will be sent to the candidates.

Online Applications

  • Online applications for the academic year 2022 – 2023 are closed.
  • Online applications for the academic year 2023 – 2024 will be open on 1st April 2023.
  • Certificates are not mandatory to submit the application form.

  • Candidates are advised to visit the college website and check their logins frequently to get updates.
  • No Personalised SMS or E-mail will be sent to the candidates.

Entrance Test

  • Online Entrance Test for candidates who applied for MSW (D&E), MASE, MADS & MScFC will be open on 10th June 2023 at 10 am.
  • The entrance test link will be available in the candidate’s portal only. Login to your account, click the mock test tab, and take the mock test. Similarly, click the Main test tab to take your main entrance test.
  • Candidates can contact the helpline number for any technical assistance only.

  • Helpline service will be available only from 10 am to 11 am.
  • The entrance test is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Auto-proctored Online test.
  • Candidates can take the test from their own location using their own desktop computer with a web camera microphone or a laptop.
  • The server will be down for maintenance from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am every day. The test cannot be taken during this time.

Entrance Test

  • The Entrance Test will be open for M.Sc.FC .
  • Candidates who had applied earlier but were unable to take the test in the first & Second slots can also take the test on the above-mentioned dates.
  • Candidates who had taken the test earlier cannot take the test now.
  • The entrance test is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Auto-proctored Online test.

Interview

  • The list of candidates shortlisted for the Interview is given below
  • Each department will have different interview schedules. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check the website and their portal for updates.
  • Candidates can contact the respective program heads for any queries related to interviews.
  • The contact numbers and E-mail IDs as provided on page number 46 of the prospectus.

  • The provisionally selected candidates must pay the fee as mentioned in the above table.
  • Rs.39940/- must be paid through the candidate’s login.
  • Rs.2860/- must be paid in the Indian bank, Egmore using the challan. (Collect Challan from College Office)
  • SC&ST candidates are eligible for a concession of Rs.1000/- and they must pay Rs.1860/- in the Indian Bank. (Collect Challan from College Office)
  • After the successful transaction, the candidates must handover the acknowledgment slip or proof of fee payment to Mr.Purushothaman, Office Staff (email: purushothaman@mssw.in / phone: 9840670517) and mark a copy of the E-mail to accounts@mssw.in
  • If the fee receipt is sent through E-mail, then the candidates must mention their Full name, Application number, Reference Number, Name of the Program, Date of Payment, and the Total amount paid in the E-mail.
  • Candidates can pay their Program fee using Credit/Debit/Internet Banking. Indian Bank Rupay Cards may be avoided as there seems to be some problem with the bank’s server.  If the payment is not successful using a credit card/debit card, we recommend paying through Internet banking.
  • For any queries related to the payment of fees, the candidates may send an E-mail with Proof to accounts@mssw.in and admissions@mssw.in

Fee Payment Procedure for all Self-Financed Programs

  • The Selected candidates should pay their program fee through the payment link that is available in their login from 14.7.2022 at 10.00 A.M onwards.
  • After paying the fee successfully, the candidates must hand over a copy of the fee receipt to the respective program heads/HoDs on or before the date mentioned in the instructions sheet.
  • If the fee payment proof is sent through E-mail, then the candidates must mention their Full name, Application number, Reference Number, Name of the Program, Date of Payment, and the Total amount paid in the E-mail.
  • Candidates can pay their Program fee using Credit/Debit/Internet Banking. Indian Bank Rupay Cards may be avoided as there seems to be some problem with the bank’s server.  If the payment is not successful using a credit card/debit card, we recommend paying through Internet banking.

Online Fee Payment Facility
  • The provisionally selected candidates can pay their program fee (either the first installment or full fess) using the below link or through NEFT.
  • Candidates can use their DEBIT card and make the payment.
  • Candidates are advised to be very careful and alert while selecting their Fee Category.
  • Candidates are responsible for any errors made in selecting the fee category.
