Social Work research aims to support society’s most vulnerable members by contributing knowledge designed to influence policy and practice decisions. Madras School of Social Work(MSSW) represents a remarkable collective of teachers who are committed to training the next generation of scholars in social work. We provide students with advanced academic training that will allow them to contribute to the knowledge base of our profession. The contribution of MSSW in conducting research and extension activities rooted in the context of societal realities and aimed at influencing policy and practice for positive social change is widely acknowledged. The M.Phil./Doctoral programme is open to applicants who have demonstrated intellectual capacity, critical thinking skills, and potential for research and scholarship.
