The Annual Conference on HR Unleashed focusing on Talent Management, Work Place Management and Future of HR was organized on 7th April 2015 by PEGASUS – Students Forum (MSW Shift II). Mr. Hussain Sehal, HR Consultant and Executive Coach delivered the key note address and mentioned that HR is moving to a new age but we haven’t gone too far and that we are still swimming on the surface. Good side of it is that there are plenty of opportunities for the Gen Ys.
In the Chief Guest’s address, Mr. Mohan V. Cherian, General Manager-HR, ONGC mentioned that sustainable competency for any HR is vital to remain the best and students pursuing HR should equip themselves learning many languages, carrying out projects during semester breaks, owning a hobby to relieve stress and being presentable during the interview.
A session on Future of HR was presided by Mr. S. Rathinavel, HR Leader, Ingersoll Rand who dealt on the need for innovation imperatives, humane work environment, transparency inclusive work atmosphere, diversity, leadership development and employee engagement.
Another session on Work Place Innovation presided by Mr. George Koshy, Senior Lead, L&D, Infosys dealt on the cooperative working relationships, participative engagement, organized team-work, provision of appropriate space for reflection and learning.
In the noon, Case study Competition, Business Quiz and Role- Play were conducted and prizes were distributed by Dr. Subashini, Dean (SF), MSSW who also addressed the gathering during the valediction programme highlighting the importance of the event and quoted that ‘human beings the most important resource should rise up to the situation and be prepared to face challenge’.
