'BLACKBOARD: Ways to enhance Quality of Education through Social work- A State –level Seminar Sponsored by UGC was organized at MSSW Auditorium on 4th of February at 10 am. 'BLACKBOARD is an Initiative of the Social Work Forum, a Forum of Social Work Students specialising in Medical and Psychiatry and Community Development of the PG Department of Social Work (Aided), Madras School of Social Work.
Mr.Job Zachariah, Chief UNICEF officer inaugurated the programme and gave a keynote address on “Education System in India”. The highlight of 'BLACKBOARD was the Panel discussion on Importance of Class Room System. The Panellist included Mr.P.B.Gejandra Babu, Mr.Sriram Ayer, Mrs Janet Christopher; Mrs kamila Jessica and Dr.Raja Samuel moderator for the panel discussion. Afternoon session was given by Mrs. Soulina Arnald on “Responsive classroom approach and Stress Free Teaching” Mr. Hariharan, Development co-ordinator in Rukmani Vidyalaya School spoke on Value Based Education. The programme was concluded with valediction address by Mrs. Arundhati Swamy, Family and School Counsellor at Chennai Counsellor’s Foundation. About 200 participants (Teachers and Students) attendedthe programme.
