NSS Volunteering for Flood Relief Material packing

NSS UNIT of MADRAS SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK worked in flood relief work under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Mr.Rufus Singh by helping in kit packing for flood affected families in states such as Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Bihar. The NSS volunteers worked in association with the Bhoomika Trust on 20th august 2016. 20 NSS volunteers -10 students from BSW department and 10 students from Bsc.Psychology department worked actively in packing 1000 utensil kits for flood affected families in other states such as Assam, MP, Uttarakhand and Bihar.

Students of NSS Team assembled at Kesari Higher Secondary School, T.Nagar (near GRT hotel, opposite to kalyan jewellers).NSS volunteers helped them in sorting, packing of kits and checking of kits. We successfully packed around 1000 kits in 1 day.

The NSS unit of MADRAS SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK was appreciated by the Bhoomika Trust members extending support towards mobilizing 20 volunteers and actively working in kit packing.
