FDP is aimed at honing the teaching and research skills of prospective, new and seasoned teachers, researches and trainers. To develop the teaching abilities of the faculty members in Madras School of Social Work, Faculty Development Programs are conducted on a bi-annual basis.
The IQAC Cell of MSSW conducted its first Faculty Development Programme for this Academic year 2016-17 on the theme “Neuro Linguistic Programme” on 18th June 2016.
The FDP started with a Welcome address and introduction of the resource persons given by Ms.P.Mohana, Addl.Co-ordinator – IQAC Team, followed by the floral welcome given by the Principal Dr.S.Raja Samuel and IQAC Co-ordinator- Dr.Amudalakshmi. The following Resource persons are invited to conduct the FDP on NLP:
Ms.Kavitha Damodharan, Certified NLP Master Trainer and Coach-School of Excellence, conducted a session on Communication and its importance in today’s corporate world. She also highlighted the importance of achieving Peak performance in our professional life by using a series of Activities.
Dr. Keshav, Mentalist and Psychologist, conducted a session on Mind Power and McGURK Effect.
On the same day, Mr. Arshraf, NLP Master Trainer, along with his associates Mr. Prasad and Ms.Ashwini conducted the FDP program on Neuro-linguistic programming by using broken pieces of glasses in his activity, which highlighted the importance of self-confidence.
All the Faculty members took part in the FDP Activities and found that the programme was very useful and able to connect with the practices as well. Mr.Rajan Jeyabalan, Addl.Co-ordinator –IQAC Team gave the vote of thanks. He thanked the Principal, Dean and Faculty for their support in making this FDP Successful.
