The Department of Social Entrepreneurship of Madras school of Social Work conducted its 4th Guest Lecture on the Business Plan by 22nd January 2018. Ms.Shomikakundu was the Guest Speaker for the event, which was held between 12.00 p.m to 2.30p.m in the PG Dept of Social Entrepreneurship. About 30 students from other Departments took part in this event. Ms. ShomikaKundu is a Delhi based Social Entrepreneurship Consultant. She has worked extensively with Government, Civil Societies and Private Bodies. She is currently engaged with Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai for designing a Learning In Action Program to Incubate Fisheries and Coastal Resources based Livelihoods amongst Marginalised Fishermen’s collection affected by the floods of 2015. On that day we had an interactive session on how to draw a Business Plan for an Organisation and its importance, followed by a workshop activity for us which included the kind of field we would be working in future.
